In Memoriam

René Cleuren started his career at Kanigen Works Benelux on 15 March 1984 as Research Manager for the optimalisation of the Kanigen® process. In 1988, he became General Manager of the company.

He quickly undertook numerous process improvement and diversification initiatives. He also initiated the creation of new chemical nickel plating production lines in Genk.

2007 was an exceptional year for the company. He led the installation of a new fully automated production unit in Bonneville (France), close to the customers in Haute Savoie. He became Managing Director of Kanigen France.

In 2017, he was again involved in the implementation of a water purification plant at Kanigen Works Benelux before passing the torch in 2018 due to illness and becoming Senior Advisor of Kanigen Group.

René Cleuren passed away on 24 February 2022.

Kanigen Group would like to acknowledge the enormous amount of work René did in the development of our company. He has enabled the family business to grow from a regional company to a leading European group.
