The Kanigen Group has been a valued supplier to automotive system manufacturers and their suppliers of machined parts for more than 25 years. Today we are an approved supplier to: Continental, TRW, Bosch, Valeo, JTEKT, Gates, ZF Getriebe, Hilite, Hitachi, Thule, CNH, Caterpillar, .... Other certification processes are ongoing.
Electroless nickel, electroless hard nickel and NiPtef (electroless nickel with PTFE), all IMDS registered. The respective IMDS numbers are available on request.
The strengths of the Kanigen Group
The ISO9001: 2008 quality system of Kanigen Group was completed by the integration of ISO/TS16949:2002 requirements such as FMEA, MSA, SPC, AQPQ, PPAP, ...
The Kanigen Group built a new plant in 2007 (at Bonneville Kanigen France) equipped with a fully automated production line, to be able to produce parts close to our customers. When developing the concept of this production line, all the specific needs of the final client were taken into account.
The launch of product-specific processes in our two production units, in Belgium and France, gave us a contingency plan that allows us to ensure the continuity of production, logistics and quality at all time.
Hard, precise, autolubrificating deposit for a motor valve
Our client who developed the project originally for Porsche, tested it first for BMW who was interested to equip its M3 and M5 motors with this type of valves.
"Our client was looking for following properties for the anker of the valve: the deposit should be hard, precise and reduce friction. We proposed to test hardened electroless nickel with PTFE (NiPtef).
After having evaluated the tribological results of valves tested during 9 months consecutively on 130 motors, the anker of the valve was validated and BMW decided to equip all its motors.”
After the success of the valve on demonstrated (proven)BMW motors, Porsche reactivated his project.
